MARIE TOROSSIAN, CPA

Marie Torossian is the former Chief Administration Officer of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce. She was responsible for the Chamber’s and its Foundation’s administration and operations, including human resources and payroll, finance and accounting, banking, legal, information technology, grants administration and office services. Additionally, she was responsible and worked closely with volunteer-based professionals for the five-year strategic planning and re-organization.

Ms. Torossian started her career as an auditor at Berkowitz, Pollack and Brant CPA firm in 2010. In May 2012, she joined the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce as an Accounting Manager and she immediately noticed her passion was in private accounting. Within three months she was reconciling all general ledger accounts, preparing financial statements, and assisting the CFO with financial analysis. She soon accepted additional responsibilities of performing forecasts and projections and preparing the annual budgets and managed the full audit and tax preparation.  In January 2015, Ms. Torossian arose to the opportunity to become the Controller and acting CFO. She took charge of implementing databases working with outside consultants, designing accounting related reports, and reviewing workflow processes. She managed the accounting team hiring, retention, training, and performance, as well as administered organization-wide salary and bonus. By the end of 2016, Ms. Torossian extended her reach by performing consulting services to small business and she continues to do so to help small business grow. Some of the industries she currently serves are Not-For-Profit, Retail, Sports League, marketing agency and Fintech.

Ms. Torossian holds a Florida CPA license, a CGMA designation from AICPA and a master’s in accounting from Florida International University. She is a member of FICPA and AICPA.

Ms. Torossian’ s personal mission statement is “To live in a mindful state, help those in need and make a difference in everyone’s life”. She describes herself in short as a leader, motivator, and mentor. She prides herself in her high ethical standards and passion in helping her clients.

During her free time, Ms. Torossian enjoys the beautiful Florida waters with her husband and children, loves to watch movies with historical references and challenges herself with baking and designing professional quality cakes.

​She also takes time to give back to her community by offering advice to young students, volunteering at her church and serving as a secretary at the FICPA North Dade Chapter.
